Mummy's phone habits.

In life, we develop characteristics that become habits. They may be annoying, amusing or anything that people may see them to be.
Akiiki had a way with her phone which on reflection was regal/royal and priceless. Only Mrs. Bucket (read bookay) could compete here. When the phone rang, she would pick the handset, put it at arms length to identify the caller, press the yes button, clear her voice while telling all around who was calling. This all while the caller was waiting on line. Then she would go like heelloooooo, very calmy and collected and not in a hurry. Now there were rules never to be broken when you intended to call her;
1. Never call when you do not have credit to last a day.
2. Never call when you do not have at least a day to talk
3. Never call when your battery is not fully charged or your phone connected to a charging device.
4. Never call in time of emergency or distress; she was never to be hurried or most often her phone would be missing having been stolen by one of her "thieving children"
5. Never call when you had a lot to say. She could always say enough for both of you.

it was always advised that you call her when cool, relaxed, with loads of credit and little to say and a whole lot of time. On her part, she never disappointed because when she called someone, she talked until she ran out of credit. To date, some of the longest calls with so little said by me were to mummy! Priceless memories! Also note that the care of her mobile phone was a communal responsibility as it could be left wherever it was laid down after a call only to be declared " stolen" one time she left a phone that had been bought on that very day outside only for rain to pour and damage a one day old phone.
phew! Let me stop here before I become, well, regal/priceless. Mum, I miss you.
